The Japanese company Hitachi held a presentation of news days ago, and she noted a curious Minority Report-like interface. The system, similar to what we propose in a few months with his Kinecta Microsoft, will control the information displayed on a television or a projector screen simply by moving hands in any direction.
It seems that Hitachi intends to carry out the repeated viewing of the film Minority Report, one in which Tom Cruise went out driving the display information with their hands.
For now the interface is available as a prototype worked, but Hitachi is working towards introducing technology in digital signal and also in the area of medicine. To achieve this, the doctors and nurses can access data, photos or videos of patients with simple and intuitive way without having to touch anything. This would be a great advantage in operations because surgeons could open the files without losing the sterilization of your hands. However, Hitachi also plans to introduce this technology on standard desktop computers and televisions at the user level.
Hitachi has not disclosed specific dates or data on its interface, and we may have to wait until mid-2011 to see it in action in a television commercial. Before we have the opportunity to see how far Microsoft with Kinecta.
